Hello all,
I am wondering how you remove the front bowtie...mainly the gold tie, is it held on by nuts on the back of it?.
The rear I beleive I saw a post on how to remove that, the rear one is just a peice of gold film.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, the front is just held on by two nuts on plastic studs. I forget what size they are. It's pretty easy because you can fit your hand back there without taking the grill/bumper off.

The rear gold emblem is pretty thick, but comes off easily. I snapped mine when it came off, but I didn't heat it up. I'd probablly reccomend putting a hairdryer on it for a bit before prying the gold off.

I tried taking the 2 10mm nuts off behind the bow tie but it didn't budge, any suggestions or should it come right off.

There is a little bit of double sided tape on there that is holding it on also. Just try to pry it off a bit and it should pop right off.

If you take the front one off you will be left with to holes from the emblem, unless you have found something to replace it. In that case...let me know because I dont like the fron tgold emblem.

The Back emblem is a different story. Simply let your tahoe sit in the sun (back facing the sun) for a few hours. Then you can take fairly strong fishing line (it wont scratch the paint) and then slice it off by pulling the line underneith the emblem. OR

On the back emblem...it is actually 2 pieces....the gold and the chrome emblems....the gold emblem fits within the chrom emblem and is simple held on with double sided tape. The trick is to get underneith the gold one without scratching the chrome.... I used a ver small flat head screwdriver and once i got it up underneith I just kept lifting and it finally broke in half... and then I repeated the steps with the remaining half..... once the gold is off just clean up the tape residue with window cleaner or something along those lines... When you are done you will have a much more appealing chrome chevy emblem in the back..... I will post a photo later today of hom mine looks now.

You might try a heat gun or hair dryer for supplying the heat.

I replaced both the front and the back emblems with a kit I bought from "autoaccessory4u" on ebay. The back one was a complete removal and replacment of the exsisting one. The front one was a bolt on replacement that fit a little tight, but both look GREAT! This is a must have upgrade!!!!!

does the back one just come with an adhesive on the back of it?
