Heated Washer Fluid Available
Since GM dropped the heated washer fluid option which disappointed me since I thought it was really worthwhile. While a SEMA last Nov., I found the company that took over the company that supplied GM w/ the option and GM bankrupted (that's another story). Anyway I decided to buy one and installed it this week. Works like a champ and unlike the GM option, the heated fluid is available all of the time (20 seconds after engine start). They say it'll help w/ bug guts in the summer. We'll see. If it doesn't, will probably pull the fuse.

yes but what is that company that sells it, or the website, and what does it cost, was it easy to install? i think that i want to go for it, it seams to be a really cool addition to any truck. thx

Takes about an hour to install. If it ever warms up, will take some pics.
Basically installed on the firewall (driver's side) which puts it near the hose coupling for the washer fluid so you don't have to cut the line. The attached cables are long enuf to to reach the battery and the ground stud on the firewall between the brake booster and engine. Covered each cable w/ split black wire loom so it basically looks factory.

Physically looks the same but mine was AlphaTherm and didn't say HotShot and comes w/ the cabling and fuse. Also AutoAnything's price was $116.95.

fuses?
so, it was blowing fuses, factory? I haven't ever seen one, so I assume then it's electrically heated... why not just run a tube off then engine's cooling system? that's 210 or so and 'free' heat...

its easier to heat it to what you need then to cool it to what you need...
