Bad Brand New Master Cylinder

Bad Brand New Master Cylinder
2003 Malibu.
Brake pedal going all the way down to floor so thought I would start with replacing the master cylinder.
Bench bleeding the new one (a "new" Fenco from Autozone) the following happens:
When pushing the rod in, forward port immediately pushes fluid through.
Rear port does not send any fluid through until rod is almost at the end of it's travel.
Thinking there may be a lot of air the rear port, I repeated pushing in the rod 10 times with the same results
This looks like a bad master cylinder to me.
Any opinions?
thanks

I had the same problem and found that fluid was leak from the brake caliper. I changed the caliper and problem solved. Have you replaced the brake booster?
