Default Drivers seat switches reversed

I have an 04 suburban that the switch gear seems to be reverse on, to move the seat forward the switch is pushed back, and to raise the back part of the seat the switch is move down (and vise versa). I had an 03 that did the same thing, any advise?

Maybe the connector on the back is reversed although they're usually polarized. Only other thing if the switch is deemed OK would be to rewire the polarity.

Default Just had that problem fixed

My 2004 Suburban had the same problem. You push the switch forward and the seat goes back, push it up and it goes down.

The module that controls the seat had to be reprogrammed. This is a dealer only fix. One dealer wanted $105 to do it. Another wanted $59 to do it.

Since the diagnostic was the same price as the fix, I had them do that too. There is a TSB on this problem.

The driver seat module may need to be reprogrammed. Please contact your local certified technician for additional information.
