Default Head lights and dash lights dim than brighten

My head lights and dash lights on my suburban dim for a second and then they brighten back up. When this happens my volts drop and you can hear the charging system working harder. My autoride stopped working about the same time that I noticed the problem with the lights.

I thought it was my altenator, so I changed it out. That Didn't fix it. I pulled the fuse for the autoride. Now I get a "service ride control" error but my lights don't dim anymore.

So my question is..... What causing my lights to dim? Is it a short in the autoride wiring somewhere? Is my autoride compressor bad? If I change out the autoride compressor will my lights stop dimming?
